Corrections have been made to more accurately describe each pickup.

Lane Poor Power Armatures consist of three basic types.

Narrow Armatures

For the jazz aficionado our “Narrow” armatures sound much like Jazz Bass © pickups, while maintaining the firm fundamentals and clean high ends that we are known for.

Tonal characteristics of narrow armature pickups

Placement	Tone
Harmonic "sweet spot"	Rich and detailed, with good fundamentals, bright midrange, and detailed high-end.
Neck (standard)	Deep fundamentals, sweet warm midrange, modest high-end.
Bridge (standard)	Modest fundamentals, detailed and nasal midrange, edgy high-end.

Wide Armatures

Our “wide” armatures compliment wide varieties of playing styles. They are rounder, have a stronger midrange, and slightly fuller low end. We magnetize a longer section of the string with the wide as compared to the narrow. The longer the length, the more pronounced the fundamental.

Harmonic "sweet spot"	Balanced sound with thick fundamentals, open midrange, and pleasing high-end.
Neck (standard)	Deep fundamentals, clean midrange, balanced high-end.
Bridge (standard)	Modest fundamentals, detailed and thicker midrange, clean and open high-end.

Humbuckers

Our standard humbuckers are great for rock and roll. The highs are clean with a stronger low end and nice mids they can cut through almost anything. When played gently they give a nice even tone. Play hard and they growl.

Our triple coil humbuckers (Music Man only) offer 2 useful voices. Choose between a narrow and a wide humbucker. Get a focused mega phonic sound or a rounder one with the flick of a switch.

Neck (standard)	Deep fundamentals, modest midrange, compressed high-end.
